Renewal/Extensions/Restoration
• Extend your visitor visa/student/work status OR make changes to your permit

If you need to Renew or Extend your current Visa make sure it is done 30 days before expiration.
However, if it has passed your expiration date and falls within the 90 days after expire date you may be eligible to apply for a Restoration with a valid reason.
Note: You cannot extend your visa beyond the expiry date of your passport.
Restoration Eligibility: (passed the date of your expiration)
• Apply within 90 days of having lost status
• Remain in Canada until a decision has been made
• Have complied with all the conditions and regulation related to your status
Permanent Residency Renewal:
• Expired or will expire in less than 9 months
• Lost, stolen, destroyed
• Did not receive your card within 180 days of immigrating to Canada
• Need to update personal information on your card
Note: To keep your PR status, you must have been in Canada at least 730 days during the last 5 years.
